Land Grant Application of Frederick Mero May 12, 1856

Before me personally appeared Francis Mero who being duly sworn deposes and says that he is well acquainted with Frederick Mero who subscribed the foregoing declaration, and knows him to be the identical person who entered the land described therein and that he is now and has been residing on said land since the 15th day of October 1855 and that his statement in regard to the improvements on the land he well knows from personal observation to be true.

Devant moi s'est présenté personnellement Francis Mero qui, dûment assermenté, atteste et déclare qu'il connaît bien Frederick Mero qui a signé la déclaration précédente, et le connaît comme étant la même personne qui est entrée sur la terre décrite, et qu'il réside maintenant et a résidé sur ladite terre depuis le 15e jour d'octobre 1855, et que sa déclaration concernant les améliorations apportées sur la terre est vraie, et qu'il connaît bien ces améliorations de par sa propre observation.
