CERTIFICAT DE MARIAGE DE JEAN-BAPTISTE AMIRAULT (MIRAU) L'Assomption Québec (St-Pierre-du-Portage) Le premier jour d'avril 1788, après la publication de trois bans de mariage faite au prône des grand-messes de la paroisse par trois dimanches et fêtes consécutifs, pâtre Jean Baptiste Mirau, fils de François Mirau et de Cécile Bourg, père et mère de cette paroisse, d'une part, et Marie Archange Démarest, fille de Michel Démarest et de Marie Louise Pelletier, père et mère aussi de cette paroisse, d'autre part, sans qu'il se soit présenté aucun empêchement canonique ni civil au dit mariage. Je, prêtre soussigné, curé de cette paroisse, ai reçu leur mutuel consentement de mariage et leur ai donné la bénédiction nuptiale, en présence de François Mirau, père de l'époux, de Joseph Bourg, son oncle, d'Amable Contant, son beau-frère; et du côté de l'épouse, de Michel Démarest son père, de Michel Brisset son oncle, et de Jacques Derosier, tous témoins, et de plusieurs autres parents et amis qui tous ont déclaré ne savoir signer de ce enquis (tel que requis)suivant l'ordre. I, undersigned priest of this parish, have received their mutual consent of marriage and I have given them the nuptial blessing, in the presence of François Mirau, father of the husband, of Joseph Bourg, his uncle, of Amable Contant, his brother-in-law; and on the wife's side, of Michel Démarest her father, of Michel Brisset, her uncle, and of Jacques Derosier, all witnesses, and of many other relatives and friends who have all declared not knowing to sign, as required following the statute.
